After a candlelit seafood dinner, Selina and Ken weren’t quite ready for their first date to end. So, they strolled hand-in-hand through downtown Seattle until they paused in front of Robbins Brothers, a jewelry store, to share a kiss. Little did they know then that Ken would one day slip a ring from that very same store on Selina’s finger when he asked her to be his wife. From the very beginning, Selina and Ken’s story felt like a fairytale, and in the opinion of this humble destination wedding photographer, their Mountain View Manor wedding day was no exception!

Selina and her bridesmaids laughed their way through a morning of hair, makeup with OffWhite Makeup & Beauty and even popped a little bubbly, while the groomsmen had ME cracking up with their wild shirtsleeves that would hide under their Air Force uniforms until the reception. But what really got me were the tender moments Selina and Ken planned for before the ceremony. As hair was curled and lipstick was applied, the bride found time to give gifts to her bridesmaids and delighted flower girls, as well as heartfelt notes to the moms.

Since Selina decided to leave that precious first look for the moment she walked down the aisle, she handed her husband-to-be a final pre-wedding love note from around a corner. But that didn’t stop her from getting creative with the idea of a first look! She instead planned a first look with her dad (which brought tears to ALL our eyes) and with Ken’s son, Lucas. I’ve never seen a more dapper little dude, but the moment that she gave her stepson a Bible and a massive hug, I felt my eyes filling up again. Come on, girl! Let me at least get to the ceremony before I start the water works!
Speaking of the ceremony, the weather truly could not have been more perfect. The sun glittered off the golden bridesmaid dresses and snow capped Mt. Rainier as the couple said “I do.” But the love between Selina and Ken shined brightest of all and was reflected in the mile-wide smiles of everyone who gathered together to celebrate their special day.
All of the little details, from the floral arrangements by Christy at Metropolitan Market to the Celebrity Cake Studio triple-tiered cake, came together in a way that was nothing short of a fairytale! And the food by Pacific Grill Catering smelled like a mouthwatering dream!

When DJ Otto-Matic cranked up the music and the party broke out on the dancefloor (after the cake was cut with a saber, of course, in true Air Force style), I couldn’t help but pause and smile at the incredible celebration in honor of my clients-turned-friends. As they ran off into their happily ever after under a shower of bubbles, I cheered right along with the guests, celebrating the incredible love between Selina and Ken. Happy wedding day, you two, and I hope to see you again so soon!
